EMPHASIS
This is a year-round team for competitive swimmers ages 5-18. Emphasis is on stroke development, technique, conditioning, goal-setting, physical fitness and race strategies. Professional coaches motivate athletes to improve in a fun and positive learning environment. This is a United States Swimming (USAS) registered team* and all members must become USAS members subsequent to registration. (This is a separate fee). There are several USAS sanctioned meets per year that the team will train for and participants may choose to attend.

Ages 6 & Under Mon, Tue and Thu 4:45-5:30PM
Ages 7-10 Mon - Fri 5:30-6:45PM
Ages 11 & up Mon - Fri 5:30-7:00PM

COST

Ages 6 & Under $240 per Quarter
Ages 7-10 $300 per Quarter
Ages 11 & Up $375 per Quarter


Additional Fees: All swimmers who are not currently registered with United States Swimming must register with USAS to participate in the Fall Swim Session ($66.50 registration fee).

 

COACHES
Professional coaches motivate athletes to improve in a fun and positive learning environment. Chris Breitbart coaches the older age group and Tracy Battistessa coaches the two younger groups.

 

SWIM MEETS/COMPETITION
There will be several Intersquad meets held during the Fall Session to track each swimmer’s progress. There will also be approximately one USAS sanctioned meet per month that the team will train for and swimmers may choose to enter. Participating in these meets is optional and at the discretion of the parents/guardian. Meet participants are responsible for all meet fees, travel costs, and arrangements. WAC coaches will attend all swim meets; however, USAS swim meets are not part of the Sierra College Community Education program.

 

REGISTRATION
Participants must register with WAC/Sierra College Community Education on-deck. Payment in full is due at time of registration. Please make checks payable to Sierra College or use MasterCard or VISA. Refunds will be given if participant requests to withdraw seven (7) days prior to the start of the session. Credits are not given for missed practices.

 

REGISTRATION FORMS
All participants must complete the following: (1) Sierra College Community Education/WAC registration form, (2) Sierra College/WAC Release of liability/Health Forms, and (3) USAS Registration Form (if applicable).

 

LOCATION
The fall session will be held at the Sierra College Aquatics Complex located at 5000 Rocklin Road, Rocklin, CA. [map]
