MISSION STATEMENT
Through sports and competition, Wolverine Aquatics Club’s mission is to create a healthy learning environment that inspires confidence and promotes growth of all athletes, coaches, and parents.

EMPHASIS
Wolverine Aquatics Club is a year-round team for competitive swimmers ages 5-18. Emphasis is on stroke development, technique, conditioning, goal-setting, physical fitness and race strategies. Professional coaches motivate athletes to improve in a fun and positive learning environment. This is a United States Swimming (USAS) registered team and all members must become USAS members to join WAC. (This is a separate fee). There are several USAS sanctioned meets per year that the team will train for and participants may choose to attend.

Additional Fees: All swimmers who are not currently registered with United States Swimming must register with USAS to participate ($70.50 annual registration fee – valid from Sept. 1, 2009 – December 31, 2010). Please complete a USAS Registration Form and make check payable to WAC.

COACHES
Our professional coaches motivate all WAC athletes to improve in a fun and positive learning environment. Chris Breitbart and assistant, Jim Black, coach the C Group. Tracy Battistessa coaches the W and A+ Groups. Christie d'Eon coaches the Pre-Competitive and the A Groups.

 

LOCATION
All practices are held at the Sierra College Aquatics Complex located at 5000 Rocklin Road, Rocklin, CA. [map]. Park in "Lot J" [Campus Map] (pdf)

 

EVALUATIONS
All new swimmers must be evaluated prior to joining the team. Evaluation will be held at the Sierra College Aquatics Complex. [map]. Park in "Lot J" [Campus Map] (pdf). Please see the Team Calendar (below) to find out when the next New Swimmer Evaluation is scheduled!

 

REGISTRATION
New participants must register with WAC/Sierra College Community Education on-deck. Payment in full is due at time of registration. Please make checks payable to Sierra College or use MasterCard or VISA. Refunds will be given if participant requests to withdraw seven (7) days prior to the start of the session. Credits are not given for missed practices.

SWIM MEETS/COMPETITION
There will be approximately one local USAS sanctioned meet per month that the team will train for and swimmers will be encouraged to enter. Meet participants are responsible for all meet fees, travel costs, and arrangements. WAC coaches will attend all swim meets on the Team Calendar; however, USAS swim meets are not part of the Sierra College Community Education program.
