NEW TRIATHLON SWIM BRICK WORKOUTS

NO OFF-SEASON FOR 2007!

WHAT:
Begin your fall Saturday triathlon brick with a swim workout!
Each workout will include:

  • Warm-up
  • An organized combination of aerobic and anaerobic swim conditioning
  • Swimming equipment (fins, paddles and kickboards)
  • Stroke technique tips
  • Pointers and drills to assist in open water swimming
  • Tri-specific race strategies

WHEN:
Swim training will begin at 9:30 AM at the Sierra College Aquatics Complex. Workouts will take place every Saturday in October and November.

WHERE:
The clinic will be held at the Sierra College Aquatics Complex located at 5000 Rocklin Road, Rocklin, CA. [map] Sierra College has a competition pool and diving pool. Both pools are kept at a comfortable temperature of 78-80 degrees.

COST:
Each Saturday Swim Brick is $10 with a reservation and $15 without. Reservations MUST be made at least 3 days in advance by phone or email.

These clinics will be available by appointment only! Clinics will focus primarily on all parts of the stroke, including developing more power and strength. Specialized stroke and body positioning work will also be critiqued by our expert coaches. Call or email for an appointment today!


COACHES:

Justin Smith
Justin is experienced in both coaching and racing. He is an assistant coach of the Rocklin Aquatic Masters Team and assisted with Sierra College’s swim teams in 2006. Justin has been racing triathlons for four years. In 2005, he was age group champion at the TBF Tri-For-Real series at Rancho Seco. He also competed in the 2006 series and had a victory at the June race. Justin was the top male finisher at the Treasure Island Open Water swim in 2005. He had a 13th overall finish at Santa Cruz Sentinel the same year, and an 18th overall at Wildflower 2006. Justin graduated from UC Santa Cruz where he swam and played water polo.

Chris Breitbart
Chris graduated from CSU Bakersfield where he was an NCAA National Champion and All-American. Chris is currently the head coach of both the Rocklin Aquatic Masters Swim Team (RAMS) and Sierra College’s Men’s Swim Team. Chris received Conference Coach of the Year in 2004 and 2006.
